Cultivating a positive mindset is essential to living your purpose and making a difference. You hear that from me ALOT. I am a serial optimist, after all. It's easy to exude "positive vibes" when you win the lottery or when those shoes you were eyeing finally go on sale, right? But what happens when you find out you owe another 10K in taxes and your dog needs surgery? I certainly would not be feeling especially "positive" then, would you?
The truth is sometimes life just SUCKS. Things happen beyond our control that make us angry, sad, or worse. They are not fair, and we have done nothing to deserve it. So what does being positive mean then? Here's the deal: being positive DOESN'T mean being delusional! As your life coach, I say feel all the feelings. Let it rip, sister. There's no point in burying now what you'll only have to dig up later. But then, challenge yourself to take a step back. Realize the only thing you can control is how YOU CHOOSE to respond. It's your superpower. Will you try to learn from what happened? Fail smarter next time? Be grateful for ever having the good at all? Or will you let the bad define you? Be a forever victim? Live miserably ever after in denial? Being positive, to me, means being RESILIENT. Trusting that no matter how hard things get, you will survive. You are stronger than you think, and you will get help when you need it. But you will survive, my friend. And you might even come out the other side
even stronger. As your life coach, I want to help you cultivate a mindset that is positive AND resilient. Click here for your FREE "mindset matters" discovery call today to get started!
